French Bird is a recently formed Irish band that differentiates itself with an energetic indie sound that also carries a punk edge. The band’s songs tackle issues that confront contemporary Irish culture such as unemployment and drug abuse, as well as optimistic themes such as love and relationships.
the debut EP contains shades of classic 80s indie, goth and shoegaze abound, underpinned by sparkling guitar and solid bass lines. recorded by noted Portland musician Andrew Leavitt (New Bad Things, Fairways).
